A five person plumbing shop can pay $149 a month for its software, or several times that, and the difference rarely shows on the first line of a pricing page. The best plumbing CRM is the one whose real bill, for your real crew, pays for the four things a plumbing company runs on: booking the emergency call, pricing the repair at the sink, keeping maintenance plans renewing, and getting paid before the truck pulls away. This cost breakdown prices five products for a one person shop and a five person shop, using only what each company publishes.

Quick answer. For a solo plumber in 2026 the cheapest published start is Jobber Core at $29 a month billed annually. For a five person shop, Jobber Connect and Housecall Pro Essentials both list $149 a month billed annually. ServiceTitan and FieldEdge quote by request for larger fleets. Cedar House Stack sells every feature at one public seat price.

Cedar House Stack publishes this cost breakdown and is one of the five products in it. Every competitor price below was read on that company's own pricing page on October 2, 2026. Where another product costs less or fits better, we say so.

What does the best plumbing CRM cost in 2026?

As of October 2, 2026, published plumbing CRM prices start at $29 a month for one user and run past $400 a month for a five person team, and two of the five products we compared publish no price at all. The spread comes less from the software itself than from how each company counts what you are paying for.

There are four pricing models in this group, and it pays to know which one you are reading before you compare numbers:

  • By plan, with users included. Jobber and Housecall Pro sell plans that include a set number of users. Features unlock as you move up a plan, so the price you pay depends on which features you need as much as on headcount.
  • Per technician, by quote. ServiceTitan says its pricing is per technician, and you request a number.
  • By plan, by quote. FieldEdge lists three plans with a set number of mobile app licenses and asks you to request pricing.
  • Per person, every feature. Cedar House Stack charges by the seat, with nothing held back for a higher tier.

Sources: Jobber pricing (read with team size set to "Just me" and to "2 to 5 people"), Housecall Pro pricing, ServiceTitan pricing, the FieldEdge pricing page and Cedar House pricing. Cedar House prices are founding prices, held for life by the first 50 companies.

On the sticker alone, Jobber and Housecall Pro are cheaper than Cedar House Stack for a five person shop where everybody uses the full office software. The split in the last row is how most plumbing shops would actually seat people on Cedar House: the owner and the dispatcher in the Stack, and the technicians on the field app, which opens on their visits for the day.

Where a plumbing software bill grows after the first month

A plumbing software bill usually grows because a feature the shop depends on sits one plan higher than the plan it started on. Read the plan tables for the three features plumbers ask about most before you pick the cheapest line.

  • Flat rate pricing. On Housecall Pro, flat rate pricing is listed on Essentials, not on Basic. FieldEdge lists its pricebook and flat rate pricing on every plan.
  • Maintenance plans. Housecall Pro lists recurring service plans on its Max plan, the one sold by demo at $299 a month billed annually. ServiceTitan lists customizable memberships on all three packages.
  • Two way texting and job costing. Jobber lists both on Grow, not on Core or Connect.

Add ons are the second place a bill grows. On October 2, 2026 Jobber listed a Receptionist add on at $29 a month, Pipeline at $49 a month and a Marketing Suite at $99 a month. Housecall Pro lists card processing "as low as 2.59%", which comes out of every card payment rather than the subscription. Ask each vendor for the card rate you would actually pay, because on a busy month it can cost more than the software.

The third is onboarding. ServiceTitan and FieldEdge both price by quote, so ask for the setup cost in writing next to the monthly number. FieldEdge lists an onboarding specialist on every plan.

What should a plumbing CRM do before you pay for it?

A plumbing CRM should book the call, put a priced fix in front of the homeowner, keep the house's history and get the invoice paid, all from the technician's phone. Anything less and the office ends up retyping what happened in the driveway.

  • A price book with options. A water heater replacement shown as three choices the homeowner picks from and signs on site.
  • Equipment on the address. The water heater's age, the softener, the sump pump, so the next call starts with what is in the house.
  • Maintenance plans that renew by themselves. Billed on time, with each promised visit showing up when it is due.
  • Dispatch that handles the emergency. A burst pipe at two in the afternoon has to land on the right truck without breaking the rest of the day.
  • Payment at the door. Card or bank, tied to the invoice.

Jobber: the lowest published entry price

Jobber publishes the lowest starting price in this group, with Core at $29 a month billed annually for one user. Core covers online booking, quotes, invoices with online payments and a website builder. Connect adds automated reminders, automatic payments, job checklists and a QuickBooks Online sync. Grow adds optional line items on quotes, job costing and two way texting.

Where it is the better buy: a solo plumber or a two to five person shop that mostly needs quotes, a calendar and invoices that get paid. For a five person team the Connect plan at $149 a month billed annually is one of the lowest published prices for that size.

Housecall Pro: flat rate pricing from the middle plan

Housecall Pro's Basic plan is $59 a month billed annually for one user, and its Essentials plan is $149 a month billed annually with 5 users included. Essentials is where a plumbing shop gets flat rate pricing, routes, checklist automations, employee GPS tracking, commissions and a QuickBooks Online sync. Max includes 8 users, adds recurring service plans, a sales proposal tool and open API access, and is sold through a demo.

Where it is the better buy: a small shop that wants online booking from Google on day one and flat rate pricing at a published price. If maintenance plans are a big part of your revenue, price the Max plan, since that is where recurring service plans are listed.

ServiceTitan: per technician pricing for big fleets

ServiceTitan prices per technician by request, across three packages. Every package lists dispatching, scheduling, call booking, invoicing, a pricebook, mobile estimates, payroll management, advanced reporting, commission tracking and customizable memberships.

Where it is the better buy: a plumbing company with a call center, marketing spend it wants tied to booked jobs, and enough technicians to use the whole platform. For a three truck shop, get the full price including onboarding in writing, then compare it with a year of a simpler product.

FieldEdge: QuickBooks Desktop on every plan

FieldEdge lists QuickBooks Online and Desktop, integrated payments, texting and a flat rate pricebook on every plan, with 2, 4 or 6 mobile app licenses included as you move from Select to Premier to Elite. Multi option quotes and advanced service agreements start on Premier.

Where it is the better buy: an established shop that keeps its books in QuickBooks Desktop and does not want to move them. Pricing is by request.

Cedar House Stack: one seat price for the office, Field for the truck

Cedar House Stack is our product. It is built around the address, so every visit, photo, quote and piece of equipment stays with the house, even when the house changes hands.

A plumbing company starts with a sample plumbing price book you edit to your own numbers, with lines like a 50 gallon gas water heater, a main line auger, a sewer camera inspection and a pressure reducing valve. Repairs can go out as good, better and best options the homeowner signs on their phone. There is a sample maintenance plan to rename and reprice, equipment records for water heaters, tankless units, softeners and sump pumps, a job checklist that includes the pressure test, a day sheet for each technician, invoices paid online through your own Stripe account, and payroll and commissions figured from the work. An optional follow up can bring an old quote back to the top when freeze season arrives.

The price is public: $99 per user a month for up to 5 users, then one flat price for your team size, starting at $599 a month for 6 to 10 users. Technicians can sit on Cedar House Field at $25 a month each instead of a full seat. Every feature is in every seat, and the trial is 30 days with no card. The plumbing edition of our front page shows the rest, and if you are leaving ServiceTitan, our move guide explains what comes across.

Who should not pick Cedar House Stack for plumbing

We are the newest product here, and there are plumbing shops we would send elsewhere today.

  • A solo plumber watching every dollar. Jobber Core at $29 a month billed annually costs less than a third of one Stack seat.
  • A five person shop where everyone works in the office software. Jobber Connect and Housecall Pro Essentials both list $149 a month billed annually for 5 users, against $495 for 5 Stack seats.
  • A shop that runs on QuickBooks Desktop. FieldEdge lists it on every plan.
  • A company with a staffed call center and dozens of trucks. ServiceTitan is built for that size.

How to price plumbing software for your own crew

Price every product for your own headcount and your own must have features, then compare the yearly totals side by side.

  1. Count who will sign in: owner, office, dispatch, each technician. Note who only needs the day's visits on a phone.
  2. Write down the three features you will not give up, for example flat rate options, maintenance plans and two way texting.
  3. On each pricing page, find the lowest plan that includes all three, for your team size, and write down the annual and monthly price.
  4. Add the add ons you would turn on, and ask for the card processing rate in writing.
  5. For the products priced by quote, ask for the full first year cost including onboarding and the contract length.
  6. Multiply by twelve, and then ask what it costs to leave and whether you can export your customers, equipment and plans yourself.

If you also run HVAC, our HVAC CRM buyer guide covers memberships and equipment for that side, and the wider guide to the best CRM for contractors helps when one company works in several trades.

What plumbing shop owners ask about software cost

Is per user or per plan pricing cheaper for a plumbing company?

It depends on headcount and on which features you need. Plans with users included, like Jobber and Housecall Pro, are often cheaper for small teams, but key features can sit on a higher plan. Per person pricing, like Cedar House Stack, costs more per seat and includes every feature. Price both for your exact crew before deciding.

Which plumbing software plans include flat rate pricing?

As read on October 2, 2026, Housecall Pro lists flat rate pricing from its Essentials plan, $149 a month billed annually with 5 users. FieldEdge lists a flat rate pricebook on every plan, priced by request. ServiceTitan lists a pricebook on every package. Cedar House Stack includes a price book with good, better and best options in every seat.

Do plumbing technicians need a full CRM seat?

Not always. Many technicians only need the day's visits, the customer's history and a way to take payment. Some products count every technician as a user on the plan. On Cedar House, a technician can use Cedar House Field at $25 a month instead of a $99 Stack seat, while the owner and office stay in the Stack.

What should a plumber get in writing before signing a software contract?

Get the total monthly price for your exact headcount, the onboarding fee, the contract length and the cost to leave early, and the card processing rate you will pay. Also confirm in writing that you can export your customers, equipment records and maintenance plans to a file yourself, at any time, without asking support.

Can I keep my plumbing customer history when I change software?

Usually, if your current system exports customers, jobs and invoices to a spreadsheet. Ask the new vendor which fields come across, such as equipment, plan renewal dates and notes, and run a small test import before moving everything. Cedar House Stack shows a preview of an import before anything is saved.

Cedar House Stack publishes this blog and makes one of the products written about here. Where another company's price or feature is quoted, it was read from that company's own public pages on the date shown beside it.
